Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Project Manager – IT Asset Management to join our Client’s team on a Contract basis. This role is Remote and the Client is based in Kamloops, BC.Summary of the Role
The Project Manager will lead complex IT Asset Management initiatives, managing resources, schedules, budgets, and vendor partnerships. This role involves agile project delivery, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and ensuring alignment to business objectives.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead agile project teams and vendor partners in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery activities.Create and maintain essential documentation: project plans, risk registers, status reports, timelines, and testing protocols.Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and governance requirements.Allocate resources effectively and track deliverables against project milestones.Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts and facilitating timely delivery.Apply hybrid and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), using tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.Core Requirements5+ years leading complex projects in agile environments.Certified in PMP or PRINCE2 (preferred).Strong experience in IT Asset Management or Device Management.Familiar with cyber security and Zero Trust best practices.Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project.Desired Skills & ExperienceExperience with Crown corporations.Familiarity with the gambling industry.Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with predictive and hybrid project management styles.Skilled in vendor and stakeholder negotiation.Terms
This is a 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The role is 100% remote, and the Client will provide virtual desktop access but not a physical laptop. The successful candidate must use their own device.
