Duration: 1-year Contract-based1. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA part qualified, ACCA, or other accounting certifications preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial planning, Capex budgeting, and financial analysis (preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, financial modelling, and data analytics.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

2. Role Overview:The Project Financial Analyst (Contract) will assist the Plant Financial Controller (FC) in managing capital and operating expenditures, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting financial analysis for the USD 300M Project. This role will also support the Plant Controller while managing additional responsibilities in budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial coordination across different stakeholders.3. Key Responsibilities:A. Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and monitor Capex budgets with technical team, ensuring alignment with approved financial plans.
  • Analyze actual spending against budgets and report variances.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent reporting for CWIP (Capital Work in Progress) among stakeholders (Plant Business & Economics, General Accounting, Financial shared services and Capex Analyst).
  • Provide financial analysis on cost overruns, efficiency tracking, and risk assessments.
  • Support financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including Board and BAC reports.

B. Project Finance Management

  • Serve as Finance Lead for the Pressure Enhancement Facility (PEF) project.
  • Manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and monitor spend vs. budget.
  • Coordinate operational agreements, accruals recording, approvals, and periodic reconciliation with MPCL and other customers.
  • Ensure proper insurance cover for PEF and manage claims if needed.

C. Business Partnering & Cost Control

  • Collaborate with plant senior management and cross-functional teams for financial planning.
  • Support Plant FC in contract review processes, pre-bid approvals, and financial advisories to the Contracts Review Committee (CRC).
  • Assist in negotiations and financial impact assessments of operational changes.

D. Inventory & Fixed Asset Management

  • Monitor bulk Urea & Urea fines inventory levels and provide reporting support to production teams.
  • Conduct periodic monitoring of slow-moving provisions and facilitate General Accounting (GA) for necessary checks.

E. Audit, Compliance, and Governance

  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure adherence to financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support governance initiatives such as WPPF, Schools, College, and Technical Training College audits.

F. Process Optimization & Systems Integration

  • Track and ensure timely closure of CWIP/Capex WBS items in SAP.
  • Support SAP integration initiatives, including tracking of capital spares and other plant assets.
  • Explore opportunities for digitization of non-SAP processes
