Are you ready to play a critical role in the financial management of large-scale, complex projects? Our National Finance team is seeking an experienced Project Finance Analyst to provide financial oversight, analysis, and support to project leads and senior stakeholders.We are open to candidates across Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane. Please note, due to the sensitive nature of this role, only applicants with Australian citizenship will be considered.What will your typical day look like?In this role, you’ll provide engagement management and systems support and you’ll be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple projects. You will monitor budgets, analyse expenditures, and provide financial insights to ensure projects remain on track.You’ll act as the primary point of contact for finance-related queries from engagement teams. This could involve processing financial transactions, managing invoices, or resolving issues with vendor costs. You’ll prepare and deliver detailed project financial status reports, ensuring teams have the information needed to make informed decisions.You’ll also work proactively to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations, supporting audits when required. Collaborating with colleagues, you’ll contribute to process improvements that enhance financial controls, streamline workflows, and improve reporting accuracy.Engagement with stakeholders is a key part of your role, whether advising on financial implications of project decisions, assisting with change requests, or educating teams on financial best practices.About the teamThe Enabling Areas National Finance team supports Deloitte’s business leaders across a range of initiatives. We work on high-profile, complex projects, providing financial management and operational support. You’ll join a collaborative and professional team committed to excellence and continuous improvement.Enough about us, let’s talk about you.We’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

• 2 – 4 years of experience in project control, financial analysis, or similar roles.
• Proven experience managing financials for large, complex projects.
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to provide actionable insights.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial tools (e.g., SAP, Cognos, Anaplan, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a focus on compliance.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Graduate/Postgraduate qualification (B.Com, BA, BBA) in Finance or a related field.
• Australian Citizenship required for this position.
