Job description: Job Summary:The Project Engineer will play a key role in managing the technical aspects of luxury interiordesign and fit-out projects, ensuring the smooth execution of the work from concept tocompletion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction processes,technical details, and project management, with a proven track record of successfully deliveringhigh-end fit-out projects. This role will involve coordination across multiple disciplines, fromdesign and procurement to on-site construction and final delivery.Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Support the Project Manager in developing detailed
project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the project toensure that it progresses smoothly and stays on track.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical execution of all site works, ensuring that
they meet the design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Addressany technical issues that arise and provide effective solutions.
- Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate closely with architects, designers, MEP
engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of the design andconstruction processes. Coordinate with the design team to ensure the technical feasibilityof design solutions.
- Site Management: Supervise on-site activities, ensuring that the construction and fit-out
works are being carried out according to plan and meet the required quality standards.Conduct regular site inspections and report on progress.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all works are completed to the highest standards, adhering
to the client’s specifications and the company’s quality control processes. Performregular checks to identify any discrepancies and rectify them promptly.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on
site. Monitor safety practices and enforce safety standards to create a safe workingenvironment for all workers and subcontractors.
- Procurement and Material Management: Assist with the procurement process,
ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site. Track inventory andmanage logistics to avoid delays in project execution.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project costs and work within the approved budget.
Assist in managing costs related to labor, materials, and equipment, and identify areas forcost savings without compromising quality.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including
daily reports, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings. Provide regularupdates to the Project Manager on project status, milestones, and any challenges.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise on-
site, ensuring minimal disruption to the project schedule and progress.
- Client Liaison: Interact with clients or client representatives to provide updates on the
project’s progress, address concerns, and ensure their expectations are met.
