Job description: Actalent is seeking…A full-time Project Coordinator to join our team in support our clients based in Ottawa.Job DescriptionThe role of the Project Coordinator involves gaining comprehensive knowledge of the projects you will be supporting, visiting project sites, and reviewing requests for information from constructors. You will meet with constructors to evaluate tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring adherence to schedules and identifying any delays. The successful candidate will understand construction procedures and ensure constructors adhere to quality standards without cutting corners or causing delays.Responsibilities

• Visit project sites located in Ottawa’s south end.
• Review RFIs from constructors and ensure adherence to work schedules.
• Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly tasks with constructors.
• Identify and highlight any delays in project schedules.
• Review recovery plans to address schedule delays.
• Ensure compliance with construction standards and procedures.
• Review invoicing versus work completed and process approvals for payment.
• Participate in safety reviews and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Experience in project coordination and management.
• Understanding of construction protocols and procedures.
• Ability to review RFIs and read requirements related to work schedules and health & safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Google Docs.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in the field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Health and Safety certifications are a plus.
• Experience in Civil or Electrical Engineering within construction.

Work EnvironmentThe role is primarily based in a construction site environment, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will split your time between two locations in Ottawa, Richmond South, and Main Street. Projects involve work with feeders, distribution, switchgears, and electrical cabling.
