The Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education (LiPACE) is one of the seven constituent schools of Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Originally established in 1992 as the Centre for Continuing and Community Education (CCCE) and renamed as LiPACE in 2000, it has carried out its original mission of serving the broadest range of learners in HK. LiPACE is now an established Vocational Professional Education and Training (VPET) provider of full-time post-secondary education and part-time professional and continuing education as well as corporate training. At the same time, it advances non-formal learning through its two flagship programmes for women and senior learners, the Capacity Building Mileage Programme (CBMP) and Elderly Academy at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (EAMU). Over the years, LiPACE has developed into an established and mature post-secondary, continuing and professional education provider which makes an important contribution to the University. It performs complementary but vital roles in fulfilling the University’s founding mission of providing education for all, as evidenced by the extensive range of disciplines covered and study levels of its programmes, as well as the diversity in age, nationality and occupation of its learners.We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the LiPACE:QualificationsMajor Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Director cum Head of Division, the appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Providing academic leadership to a team of teaching staff and performing administrative duties of an associate head of division;
• Leading staff to launch a new HD programme in digital business practices;
• Leading the professional accreditation exercise for HD in BAM from overseas accreditation body;
• Coordinating various partnership initiatives with higher vocational institutions in the GBA and mainland;
• Chairing working groups at the Divisional level and deputise for the Head of Division;
• Engaging in professional/scholarly activities;
• Participating in School/University activities and administration; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (LiPACE) or his/her nominee.

Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A higher degree (preferably at doctoral level) and/or relevant professional qualifications in a major business discipline;
• Extensive teaching and administration experience including programme development, course administration and quality assurance at the level of Senior Lecturer or above, preference will be given to those with programme leadership experience in postsecondary and higher education;
• Good involvement and participation in professional and community activities; and
• Proficiency in English & Chinese languages, preferably including Putonghua.
