Job description: See yourself in our team:The Everyday Banking team supports the full spectrum of customers’ transaction banking and deposits needs from birth through to retirement. We support over 9 million customers manage their day to day spend, save to achieve their financial goals, and more. We have end to end accountability for all Retail Deposits and Transactions products and customer experiences, the groups Open Banking obligations and key customer journeys including Disputes and Deceased Estates.Our purpose is to improve the financial wellbeing of our customers and communities.The Deposits, Pricing and Governance Crew has end to end accountability for the Deposits product suite that includes mass market products (Term Deposits, NetBank Saver, GoalSaver), segment specific products (Youthsaver, Pensioner Security Account, Private Bank Account), and specialist products (Safe Custody, Assurance of Support). The Savings Value stream helps customers reach their savings goals through simple and innovative solutions and strives to provide an easy-to-understand product suite that meets customers needs.Do work that matters:You will report to the Crew Lead Deposits Pricing & Governance, and work as a part of the Savings Value Stream. As a Product Owner, you will collaborate with the other PO’s in the Value Stream to set the strategic vision and roadmap for Savings products to maximise delivery of business value and support great customers outcomes to achieve NPS +30.In this role you will;

  • Lead a squad of technology and product specialists
  • Establish mechanisms to identify opportunities to enhance the product, streamline customers experiences, and drive outcomes aligned to our KPIs and OKRs
  • Obsess over the customer experience including actively seeking voice of the customer to improve service offering across all our channels and segments
  • Continuously iterate and enhance solutions to create better outcomes and value for customer and stakeholders
  • Possess the ability to quickly pivot to changing work demands and accurately evaluate complex, ambiguous situations to reach timely, objective and informed decision
  • Identify, articulate, and manage risks and compliance across streams of work
  • Lead the squad day-to-day delivery and lifecycle activities, including addressing impediments and resolving escalations
  • Take accountability for effective Incident, Problem management, and the reduction of Tech Debt across the product
  • Influence & manage multiple senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure prioritisation is understood and agreed too
  • Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking

  • Experience working in an agile environment advantageous
  • A wealth of experience in financial services
  • Product Owner and Product Management experience is desirable
