This portfolio is at the heart of the Retail Bank’s franchise – an anchor product for customers who consider CBA to be their main financial institution. The Everyday Spending team has end-to-end accountability for portfolio management, proactive risk management, and optimising customer/business outcomes across the portfolio.See yourself in the teamAs a Product Manager, Retail Payments Travel Products within the Everyday Spending Chapter your role is key in driving and supporting core product and operational management and optimisation of the Retail Travel Payments portfolio.This is an exciting opportunity in which you will use your critical thinking, high levels of curiosity, passion for customers and superior stakeholder management skills to effectively execute the day-to-day management of the Retail Travel Payments portfolio – specifically foreign cash and travel money cards, which includes implementing initiatives, pricing and competitor analysis, portfolio optimisation, distribution support, and management of risk and compliance obligations.You will utilise your savvy analytical and creative thinking to play a key role in the design of Retail Payments (specifically foreign cash and travel money card) enhance customer appeal, profitability, productivity, and ongoing customer engagement.With innovation at the forefront this is a fascinating time to be joining the team and make an impact. Your success in this role will contribute to uplift our products’ value proposition, deepen customer engagement, and grow revenue sustainably.More specifically, you will:Lead and execute initiatives to enhance, simplify or mitigate risk across the retail payments product portfolioPartner with and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify and manage operational initiatives and other compliance obligations.Manage various other product BAU activities such as review product policy and procedures, deliver regular product reporting and insights, and recommend enhancements that will improve customer service, profitability, market share, and cost reductionWork closely with the Retail Travel Payments technical squad to execute change, which delivers enhanced customer experiencesDevelop a deep understanding of the portfolio to support teams across RBS as the subject matter expert on retail paymentsMonitor consumer, competitor, environment, and industry trends to identify customer value proposition improvements and deliver initiatives that meet our customers’ current and future everyday banking needsWe want to hear from you if you have:Risk Mindset –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.Previous experience in Product Management, is highly regardedPrior experience in banking services, payments, or a related field.Experience in delivering initiatives, projects or change managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with analytics experience highly regarded however not necessary in the role (e.g. SQL)Strong communication and influencing skills and proven stakeholder engagement skillsProven track record of driving resultsExcellent attention to detailTertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce / Technology degree highly regarded.If you’re already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you’ll need to apply through to submit a valid application.
