Role Location: Brisbane – flexible across Australia
Work Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)What will your day look like?As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Manage a high performance, delivery culture with the supporting Product Advisor Delivery and Senior Performance Analyst.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement across the Everyday Banking operational teams through strong engagement with the operational team leaders, product and process managers.
  • Be a senior member of Consumer Deposits & Transformation leadership team, critical to delivering the departments tactical and strategic objectives.
  • Be responsible for coordinating priorities with the Head of Consumer Deposits & Transformation aligning backlog priorities with stakeholder and customer needs.
  • Deliver on a strategic vision for all products/deliverables within the Everyday Banking Missions for Portfolio Owners.
  • Review product feedback and adjusts priorities accordingly.
  • Manage the delivery of a meaningful customer proposition to meet the needs of existing and new to bank customers, while delivering to the Bank’s funding & financial outcomes.
  • Support and provide feedback on process and project artefacts including the Statement of Work, Process Risk Assessments and other key documentation to support process design
  • Establish and maintain visibility of the pipeline of tactical and strategic initiatives that are aimed at improving the consumer deposit product quality, efficiency and customer experience.
  • Allocate resources effectively based on priorities and the mix of skills and capabilities.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships in the deposit portfolio.
  • Provide visibility of initiative progress to key internal and external stakeholders through open, clear and honest communication.

What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Extensive experience in performance analytics or a closely related field, with a proven ability to apply transferable skills effectively.
  • Proven expertise in product management, risk management, or business strategy, demonstrating strong business acumen and analytical ability.
  • Working knowledge of product or portfolio management, including pricing, promotion, and proposition development.
  • Sound knowledge of banking products and services, consumer lending would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of change management, communication and marketing processes.
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the Basel III liquidity rules (APS210).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver on a portfolio of initiatives and with a track record of delivering within deadlines.
  • Experienced in guiding teams through complex risk, regulatory, product, and business transformations.
  • Expertise in developing customer-centric propositions with a strategic approach.
  • Strong background in customer and product data analytics, with advanced proficiency in SQL or similar tools preferred
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and drive positive outcomes across key stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles and practices, with a demonstrated ability to embed a positive risk culture within teams and processes.
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to connect the team’s work to broader strategic objectives
