This role will involve business travel primarily within NA but also occasionally to Europe. Then read on!THE ROLEWe are developing our supply chain with outsourced production and by partnering with key suppliers. Searching for, selection, and management of these partner suppliers is of strategic importance to Skytree and the Procurement Manager will play an important role in this process. As Procurement Manager you will be responsible for new tender processes, strategic sourcing, negotiations, supplier relation management and material and component suppliers. You will be required to perform a lot of activities autonomously, but will also be part of cross functional teams and coordinating activities from New Product Introduction (NPI) to Ramp-Up and full scale production. You will further develop the vendor relations on all QLTCS-aspects (Quality, Logistics, Technical, Cost, Sustainability). You will monitor and manage the execution of contracts including frame agreements and lead supplier audits together with our quality manager.
Additionally, you will be responsible for procuring technical products or services for Skytree’s technology development teams (Product and Engineering & Research and Development). For this role, you will be required to be engaged in the cross functional tech teams, and at the same time source and select partner vendors including negotiating terms with material and component suppliers. This role involves a deep understanding of the technical specifications, functionalities, and requirements of the products or services they are purchasing.YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BYLeading Sourcing and Selection Teams for new partner vendors for the North American Markets.Sourcing, establishing, negotiating, reviewing and managing contracts/POs, Framework agreements and Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s).Leading and coordinating cross functional teams to control our partner vendors.Developing and maintaining vendor relations on QLTCS-aspects, leading vendor audit programs, driving cost down programs (ZBC), monitoring and securing the supply of critical components from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier vendors.Supporting the Product and R&D departments with their procurement needs (issue/ monitor PO’s), and reporting to the Sr. Procurement Manager.Executing long term sourcing/supplier partnering strategy.Executing and Optimizing bidding and supplier management process.Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors capable of providing the required technical products or services and will be used later on as vendors in production.Understanding the technical aspects, specifications, and functionalities of the products or services being procured.Assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions, technical failures, or quality issues, and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market developments to make informed purchasing decisions.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR5+ years hands on experience in purchasing at international oriented production companies with high-tech products like machines and categories of mechanical hardware and electronic components.Bachelor’s degree education (Engineering/ Business Economics/ Purchasing/ Logistics/ SCM).Experience with leading cross functional teams at NPI, Ramp-Up, Life Cycle Management.Negotiating skills and purchasing knowledge (Kraljic, incoterms, etc).Additional purchasing adjudication or courses are appreciated.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTApart from working with great colleagues and a competitive package, you can also expect these additional benefits:An opportunity for professional and personal growth in one of the most innovative cleantech start-ups globally!A diverse and international teamA competitive salary aligned with the market, with annual compensation reviewsA phone allowance and laptop.25 vacation days per year, with additional special leave days for life events 🙂Possibility to take an additional 5 days of unpaid leave each yearA (flexible) hybrid working policy where possibleQUESTIONS?Need some more info, or simply have a question for us?
