We really are a company that wants to make a positive difference.He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Process or a Senior Process Engineer to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Operations Commissioning Manager, you will provide process and commissioning expertise to support the safe and successful commissioning and handover of capital works to our operations teams.You will lead and support commissioning across our water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and other assets. Responsibilities include:
- Provide water and/or wastewater process expertise.
- Oversee the entry to service, performance testing and successful hand-over of projects ranging from major asset maintenance to complex treatment plants.
- Prepare and review commissioning documentation including test plans, test sheets and commissioning plans.
- Create successful working relationships across our different business units
- Develop and improve existing systems, standards and business processes to meet the demands of a changing operational scene.
- Mentor commissioning, capital delivery and operational staff to ensure commissioning best practice is followed and commissioning capability is grown within Watercare and partner organisations.
Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ engineering and/or operations experience (process, operational, project)
- Knowledge and experience in business continuance systems and quality systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation, systems, standards and requirements
- NZ drivers licence
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong technical documentation writing and reviewing skills.
- Proactive team player
- Able to manage own workload under pressure and to project timescales and requirements.
- Solution provider – develop strategies and deliver outcomes
- Willing to develop knowledge and understand new technologies
- Experienced with operating DCS/SCADA systems
