Job description: We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and committed planner with experience of delivering strategic planning policy to join our team.York recently adopted its Local Plan and will soon see significant change to deliver the city’s growth ambitions. We are committed to the delivery of significant strategic sites for development and the introduction of a Community Infrastructure Levy to fund required infrastructure alongside a wider programme to deliver high quality, sustainable development and place making across the city. This role will support the Head of Strategic Planning Policy and Strategic Planning Policy Manager in delivering the Council’s planning policy aims and objectives for both the built and natural environment.The is a hybrid role based in West Offices with significant flexibility for working from home.This post is suitable as a job share opportunity.Please note, we do not have a sponsorship licence to sponsor individuals for visas to work in the UK, therefore we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process.
