Job description: Our client is an innovation team working on development of new products and ideas within a major US Healthcare System, currently hiring a Principal Product Designer, who will work remotely from Canada.This is a fully remote, long-term contract role open to candidates located in Canada with active work authorization.Position OverviewWe’re seeking an experienced Principal Product Designer to join our well-established client on a long-term contract basis. This senior-level role requires 10-15+ years of design experience and responsibility for overseeing major products or entire product suites. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, UX, or related field.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Design Leadership Drive creative problem-solving processes with product-line and organizational impact while anticipating design trends to keep applications modern and contemporary. Develop influence strategies across organizational boundaries and make design decisions that support commercialization efforts.Product Vision & Execution Lead aesthetic exploration and execution for products/services, establishing overall product composition, page flow, and visual frameworks. Optimize end-to-end concepts and solutions while ensuring consistent product-level conceptual models and identifying design solutions based on socio-cultural trends.Prototyping & Communication Create prototypes that communicate product concepts, narratives, and value propositions while embodying intended customer and business value. Present work to senior leaders across the organization, including strategy and creative executions.User-Centered Design Process Lead continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies across successive releases. Drive human-centered insight, design, and testing cycles to improve product experiences and alignment with engineering processes.Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a thought leader working with engineering, product management, and UX leaders across the organization. Communicate business strategy alignment, estimate project timelines, and manage scope changes with stakeholders.Team Leadership Plan and prioritize work effectively while enabling others to accomplish more. Work with external contractors and vendors, resolve cross-team issues, and promote positive team environments through effective communication and obstacle resolution.Required Qualifications
