Working autonomously, you will lead the development, detailed design and consultation on new or amending legislation as well as complex regulatory proposals.You will play a critical role in providing expert legal and policy advice on a broad range of complex issues, including advising the Executive Director Building and Energy on key legal policy issues particularly around the security of payment and contracting practices in the construction sector. Additionally, you will be responsible for the preparation of drafting instructions and managing the progression of bills through the WA Parliament.Your proven expertise in leading policy projects and offering strategic legal counsel will be instrumental to your success in this role. You will ensure the policy document and proposals are well written, accurate and solution focused.
