You will collaborate with the National Mortality Management Group (NMRMG) and subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver evidence-based reports and recommendations that impact on mortality.About you:

• Tertiary qualification, preferably at PhD level with expertise in health, social sciences or economics.
• Understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
• Strong understanding of avoidable mortality, and experience navigating the health and equity landscape.
• Proven experience engaging effectively with diverse communities.
• Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.
• Skilled at translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Understanding and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and culturally safe practices.
