Job description: Bookbot is a recommerce platform that operates in 4 countries and has already sold over 5 million books. Every day we sell around 15,000 books and receive a little bit more. These are numbers we want to double every year. We are among the region, we have a on our shelves and .We offer over a million books across different sales channels, and we need each book to be sold at just the right price. The price that works well for us and equally benefits the buyers and sellers who trust us with their books.We are looking for skilled pricing managers as well as intelligent pricing enthusiasts without previous experience.What awaits you here
- Full responsibility for book pricing in Knihobot/Bookbot for CZ/SK/DE/AT and all sales channels.
- Pricing strategy – create and align pricing principles with company goals.
- Pricing rules – set and implement basic pricing rules.
- Pricing development – oversee IT development for pricing functions.
- Monitor pricing performance.
- Pricing reporting – create and manage BI reporting for pricing.
- Ensure the pricing strategy is smoothly applied across all sales channels, maintaining full control of the process.
- Responsible for key metrics like Average Price of Book Sold across different markets, languages, and channels.
- Gentle warning: This really isn’t about colourful presentations, pointless meetings, abstract projects or delegating tasks. We need to do the things for real – gloves off, sleeves up, get ready to get the hands real dirty.
What is neededWe are looking both for skilled pricing managers as well as for ambitious graduates without previous pricing experience.
- You make decisions based on data and logical reasoning. You value logic and hard data over emotions.
- Persistent in getting things done, even when faced with difficulties.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and data analysis (e.g., Google sheets, Excel)
- Nice to have is basic programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Quick to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Ability to cut through complexity and simplify problems.
- Fluent English
- Previous experience with pricing is a plus.
