Job field: Economics and finance | Science and researchThe Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University, invites applicationsfor the following position:Post-doctoral Researcher in Health Economic Microsimulation and/or PharmacoeconomicsMasaryk University, the Faculty of Economics and Administration, is looking for a highly motivated and productive post-doctoral researcher in the field of in the field of health economic microsimulation and/or pharmacoeconomics.This position offers a unique opportunity to work with experts from Masaryk University and other partner institutions on projects related to ageing, including Alzheimer’s disease, burden of disease, program evaluation, health claims data analysis and on the development of an economic-demographic microsimulation model.The position will include collaborations with microeconomists, data scientists, biostatisticians, demographers, sociologists, clinicians and other experts, and primarily focus on peer-reviewed research and microsimulation model development.We are looking for a candidate:

• with PhD. degree or or near completion of PhD. studies
• with education and experience fields like microeconomics, biostatistics, health economics, health policy or epidemiology
• with experience in developing microsimulation models or experience of their use in peer-reviewed research is of high relevance

strong programming skills in R are welcome, knowledge of Stata is appreciated

• previous experience with claims or registry data is particularly welcome
• with excellent background in empirical methods, mixed methods researchers are invited as well
• with research potential demonstrated by a strong job market paper or at least 1 peer-reviewed publication
• with fluency in English
• who is a self-driven person
• who is able to define their own research agenda

What does the position entail:

• collaborations with microeconomists, data scientists, biostatisticians, demographers, sociologists, clinicians and other experts
• peer-reviewed research and its presentation at international conferences
• contribution to the preparation of national and international grant proposals
