Job description: About the role:Due to an internal promotion, we have a rare opportunity for a Pricing Manager to join the growing Pricing team here at AA Insurance.You’ll be primarily focused on portfolio performance, ultimately recommending pricing initiatives that drive change for the business. This senior role reports into the Head of Pricing, and you’ll be growing and developing the Portfolio Pricing team.The Pricing Manager will also take a hands-on approach to generate actionable insights from internal and external data sources that inform pricing recommendations, working alongside key stakeholders within AA Insurance. • Leading activity that delivers portfolio objectives, identifying trends and growth opportunities, and measuring outcomes
• Managing workloads, supporting, and guiding pricing analysts
• Assisting in development of strategic initiatives through delivery of data driven insights
• Developing a strong partnership with key stakeholders to deliver successful change
• Overall monitoring of portfolio health and performance including hands on ad-hoc portfolio analysis
• Achieving agreed targets in line with our value discipline of operational excellence
• Overall responsibility for price change implementation, making changes that consider profitability and growth targets, external environment, and customer impact
• Working closely with technical pricing team to ensure outputs are embedded into price change process
• Maintaining an in depth understanding of competitor pricing activity and price position
• Developing a strong and sustainable learning and development path for the portfolio pricing team
• Active involvement in forecasting average premiums and the wider financial planning process

To shine in the role, we’re looking for:

• Minimum of six years’ experience in a large financial, insurance or professional services business
• Proven leadership and people management experience in a previous senior role
• Substantial Insurance Pricing experience
• A relevant tertiary quantitative degree (mathematics, statistics, computer science, or actuarial science)
• Previous experience or proven knowledge in statistical and data programming languages for analysis and problem solving e.g. Excel, Tableau/Power BI, R, Python
• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
• A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and outlook
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven skills in adaptability and resiliency, with a solutions focused mindset
