Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Client’s team on a contract basis. This role is hybrid with one day a week onsite in Vancouver, BC.Summary of the Role
The Project Manager (PM) will lead and direct the project team to ensure the successful delivery of the Unity project throughout its lifecycle.Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Lead teams in implementing IT business applications and infrastructure projects.
- Manage risk, change, RFP processes, vendor selection, and vendor relationships.
- Deliver projects involving Microsoft technologies (e.g., M365, Microsoft Dynamics, MS Power Apps).
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and quality standards.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification (or PRINCE II equivalent).
- 8+ years of recent Project Management experience in IT business applications and infrastructure projects.
- Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, custom development, business architecture, and operations.
- Strong expertise in risk and change management.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Certification or training in Agile or SCRUM.
- ITIL Foundation certification (Version 4.0 or 3.0).
- Experience in Primary Care and eHealth technologies (e.g., EMR, PACS).
- Familiarity with PPM tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, or Azure DevOps.
- Previous experience in healthcare projects or business transformation initiatives.
Terms
This is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension.
