In this key role, you’ll engage across the City of Melbourne to influence strategy formulation. You will lead a critical portfolio within a collaborative team and drive visibility of our strategic objectives for staff across the organisation, aligning business activities with the Council Plan.You’ll drive high-impact projects that enhance strategic planning and collaborate closely with strategy and policy stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements while delivering transparent, high-quality outcomes for our community. • Lead an integrated and strategic approach to integrated planning and performance management, shaping Melbourne’s implementation of the legislated framework
• Partner with the Corporate Planning, Corporate Reporting and Systems Leads to establish and maintain best practice in planning
• Lead a community of practice of Melbourne’s strategy and planning professionals to drive strategic excellence
• Enhance team capabilities in reporting and foster a culture of transparency throughout the organisation.
• Support the development, analysis and delivery of Council’s Annual Report and other legislated and periodic reporting obligations

You will bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in integrated corporate planning, strategy or policy, or business or public administration.
• Excellent communication skills to a range of audiences, and the ability to implementing change in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and propose effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and manage projects and resources within agreed timelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, share knowledge, and resolve issues.
