As a Personal Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for processing successful personal loan applications and ensuring member service levels and responsible lending decisions are made within credit policy/procedures and targets.About the role:

• Proactively keep members informed of loan progress, outcomes and complete follow up calls to progress loan applications to settlement.

• Analysing all data and complete necessary credit assessment checks, to ensure an acceptable level of risk, complying with all legislative requirements including the National Credit Code.

• Analysing and verifying supporting loan documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Input of data into core systems ensuring accurate record keeping is maintained.

• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to ongoing continuous improvement and process enhancements.

.What will you bring to the role?

• Previous loan preparation experience is required (banking or finance industry experience preferred).

• Experience in a customer service role (face to face or in a contact centre environment.

• Strong communication skills.

• Sound understanding of the national credit code, responsible lending obligations and Privacy Act.
