That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society.Every day we help our major global clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects, in over 110 offices worldwide.Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Reporting Manager (Project Controls Manager Grade) to join our busy and expanding, Manchester based, Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Performance & Reporting community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside project delivery teams as part of a wider reporting & performance management team or independently with reach back support to experienced performance & reporting professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Driving implementation & continuous improvement in performance reporting (and interfacing project controls) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients.
  • Developing performance and reporting management plans for our clients based on project requirements, maturity and best practice.
  • Driving the implementation, embedding and roll-out of any identified changes to Performance and Reporting processes.
  • Promoting the benefits and requirements of Performance & Reporting within the project and programme team.
  • Appropriately selecting, implementing, administering, and maintaining Performance & Reporting Systems and procedures.
  • Lead implementation and change controlling reporting hierarchies and approaches.
  • Lead the definition of KPIs and performance measures dictionary.
  • Leading teams of project controls / performance & reporting professionals to deliver effective, consistent, assured and value adding performance information to our clients across diverse and complex programmes.
  • Present / provide performance recovery recommendations to relevant stakeholders and senior management to support effective decision making.
  • Training and coaching clients and less experienced team members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.
  • Undertaking line management activities including career development and performance management.
  • A project controls related qualification (e.g. Project Planning & Controls)
  • Experience undertaking digital reporting activities in multiple complex projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in providing project controls support to the configuration and setup of project reporting information systems.
  • Practical experience of implementing Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis.
  • An understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with reporting.
  • Experience in leading small teams
  • Basic familiarity of some Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys etc)
  • Experience in using data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI)

QualificationsOther essential requirements:Owing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects, candidates will be required to hold, or be able to hold, valid security clearance (SC) and in order to do so will need to be:

  • British Nationals
  • Hold a UK Passport
