So, join our Performance Operations team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.About your teamThe Performance Analytics group provides performance information and portfolio analysis for Fidelity International Limited (FIL) worldwide. The group comprises three teams who all interact closely and work together to provide clients both internal and external with analysis on Fidelity products and mandates:

  • The Performance Attribution & Risk reporting teams provides attribution and risk analytics such as quarterly fund reports, investment risk oversight pack, liquidity reporting and support to our investment teams.
  • The Performance Operation & Oversight team is responsible for ensuring the quality of our data, management of our systems, GIPS©, regulatory performance & risk and providing key senior management metrics.
  • The Performance Measurement team supply performance and ex-post to all of our clients.

About your role
The senior analyst will work with the wider team and will be responsible for performance systems setups, data processing, and managing both manual and automated data feeds. The senior analyst will ensure data quality and handle data management activities and ad hoc queries for the full range of Fidelity’s products. They will also support and assist in internal and firm milestone projects.Principle duties:

  • Setup and maintain fund and benchmark data within the performance systems.
  • ETL of large volumes of data from different data sources and internal systems.
  • Support a data governance model and stringent data controls on source data and calculated analytics.
  • Run regular tasks on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Support the technology rollout of performance systems ensuring advisory business requirements are met.
  • Be involved in multiple projects and systems testing as required.
  • Assist colleagues where required.
  • Run data quality checks to minimize all areas of operational risk and provide correction and preventative measures.
  • Design overall data mangemnet and advisory business Investment KPIs.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to meet business requirements and expectations, including handling ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Your skills and experience

  • Degree in Maths, Statistics, Finance, Econometrics, or Data Analytics is required.
  • Experience within Asset Management and Performance Measurement is preferred.
  • Understanding of performance measurement and analysis techniques such as return calculation methodologies.
  • Advanced Excel, Access, VBA, and SQL experience are required, while Python and Gen AI are preferred.
  • Project management experience or experience with systems migration is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and responsive to a changing environment.
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn product domain, new skills, and continue self-development.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels (up to senior management).
  • Team contributor with experience working within a global team is a plus.
