Job description: About the role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is available on short notice to join a meaningful industry and work on a payroll project. This project involves leave balance recalculations. This position requires an analytical mind, a strong grasp of awards and EBAs, and a proactive approach to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing.The company is located in Western Sydney, near Parramatta and offers parking. They also have flexible working arrangements.The responsibilities:

• Review and recalculate employee leave balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Interpret various awards and EBAs related to the shift-based workforce
• Verify contracts against awards to support payroll accuracy
• Work closely with the team to ensure a seamless transition to the new system they are moving to.
• Assist with other ad hoc payroll tasks

The successful applicant will have:

• Proven experience in calculating leave balances with attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and experience with award/EBA interpretation
• Ability to start immediately or on short notice
• Committed, reliable, and dedicated
