Job description: About the ClientOur client is a well-established and sizable multi-national corporation with stable business performance. They are now seeking for a dynamic individual to join them as the Payroll Manager.About the role
- Oversee the day-to-day payroll operations including processing, payments, and deductions.
- Lead the transition of payroll functions from one system to another, ensuring a smooth transition within a specified timeframe.
- Ensure all payroll transactions comply with local laws and regulations, reconcile payroll records, and prepare necessary reports.
- Address employee queries related to salary, contracts, benefits contributions, and taxation.
- Review financial records such as salary journals and contribution reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Train, supervise, and assign tasks to payroll staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Lead and monitor pre-parallel runs, parallel runs, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and reconciliation activities during system transitions.
- Collaborate with the Data Integrity Team to maintain high standards of data accuracy and compliance across payroll operations.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree holder with major in Business Administration, Human Resources or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of experience in payroll management
- Experience with payroll software systems and ideally, experience in system migration projects
- Strong knowledge of local payroll legislation, benefit contributions, and tax requirements
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Effective communication skills to handle internal and external inquiries efficiently
- Have a proficient command of Chinese, spoken and written English
