Job description:

  • 8:30am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll processing, with proficiency in systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation, award interpretation, PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and administer weekly and monthly payroll in line with company policies and legislation.
  • Reconcile timesheet data, ensuring compliance with work hours, overtime, and leave entitlements.
  • Handle payroll adjustments, tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience from start to finish.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and policies.
  • Assist in the development of company policies, employee engagement initiatives, and HR best practices.
  • Coordinate and manage employee benefits programs, including superannuation and other entitlements.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll tax returns, superannuation contributions, and other compliance-related reports.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to enhance the overall employee experience and workplace culture.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and make recommendations to ensure ongoing compliance.
