We are Kronospan.Main duties and responsibilitiesThe Payroll and Benefits Specialist’s position is responsible for payroll coordination and submission, presentation preparation, benefits enrollment and coordination, work uniform coordination, and correspondence. Duties associated with this position include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate payroll processes to include distribution of daily time reports, editing HRIS system, inputting data into spreadsheets for payroll, and corresponding with payroll and time managers
  • Coordinate payroll deductions with payroll company staff
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment meetings with new hires, existing associates and vendors
  • Liaise between associates and insurance providers
  • Review insurance billing statements for accuracy; correspond with providers as needed
  • Create and maintain associate files to include personal data, salary, benefits, training, performance, and medical; ensure security of files
  • Receive necessary work eligibility documents; enter all new hires into the federal E-Verify system
  • Maintain associate data spreadsheets to include terminations, disciplinary actions, personal data, and etc.
  • Maintain organizational charts and upload to Kronospan Intranet
  • Process vacation requests and file hard copies
  • Investigate absence hours and update in K-Soft. Communicate with management when trends are observed
  • Communicate with management when excessive overtime is observed
  • Enter contractors into K-Soft for time management purposes; coordinate distribution and return of badges
  • Review invoices from contract staffing companies, edit, and submit to accounting for payment
  • Create new associate badges as needed; enter data into K-Soft
  • Submit work hours data to management on a monthly basis or upon request

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates; must have strong grasp of business English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to create and maintain complex filing systems and electronic filing systems
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced situations
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
  • Advanced computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
  • Experience in creating complicated spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, and macros
  • Advanced clerical skills to include filing, telephone, scanners, fax, memo writing, and email
  • Experience in administration of benefits
  • Experience in administration of payroll processes
  • Associate’s degree in an HR, marketing, or business discipline or equivalent HR experience

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Bi-lingual
  • Experience processing payroll in a fast paced manufacturing environment preferred
