Job description: Payroll & Accounts OfficerVANRATH are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join a leading NI employer. What You’ll Do
- Administer end-to-end payroll
- Calculate and apply statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions
- Maintain accurate employee records, including starters, leavers, and any changes to employment status
- Reconcile time and attendance data and report payroll information to Senior Leadership on a daily basis
- Upload payroll payments to the bank once payroll is finalised
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, tax laws, and internal company policies
- Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports (RTI, EPS, FPS, ONS)
- Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support year-end processes, including the preparation of P45s, P60s, and P11Ds, and assist during audits
- Collaborate with HR and managers to ensure accurate and seamless payroll processing
- VAT returns
- Assist with general ledgers
About You
- 2-5 years’ payroll experience
- Solid understanding of UK payroll laws and statutory reporting
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
- Professional, discreet, and able to manage confidential information
- Organised with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communicator, both independently and within a team
