Job description: Full -time, permanent positionThe Full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,944 – $87,750 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)Based at our vibrant campusAbout This OpportunityThe Payment Services Officer (PSO) plays a key role in providing support, training, and compliance advice related to Payment Services policies, procedures, processes, and systems. Reporting to the Senior Payment Services Officer, this role combines financial expertise with customer service skills to support the goals of the Finance and Business Services (FBS) Division and the University.As part of the Procurement and Payment Services team, the PSO contributes to the administration, management, and support of UQ’s Payment Services systems and processes. This includes central processing of payments for vendor invoices and miscellaneous payable batches.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders across a large and complex client portfolio ensuring the delivery of high-quality Payment Services transactional services to meet client needs.Ensures compliance of all Payment Services transactions with governance protocols, ensuring that University policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements, are followed and adopted appropriately in the client portfolio.Acts as first point of contact for Payment Services system users on production issues that affect the end user community and work with Manager Payment Services to effectively communicate outcomes.Contributes to the development and alignment of business processes and standard operating procedures that relate to Payment Services transactions processing and data capture and adopts required changes to all allocated work across the Payment Services stream.Establishes meaningful individual performance goals and objectives with their supervisor and actively seeks feedback, coaching and guidance on ways to achieve key results and outcomes.About YouDiploma qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related field with relevant experience in transactions processing or shared services functions and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and professional experience.Ability to apply knowledge of finance systems, policies and processes to a wide range of financial transactions to ensure accurate, timely and efficient transaction processing.Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders and clients ensuring service delivery meets key requirements.Experience working with enterprise technology and software solutions and systems, utilising multiple user modules for the submission of a diverse range of data and information sets.Ability to work effectively within a team environment, whilst taking full accountability for the efficient delivery of set tasks within agreed timeframes and to agreed service standards.Experience working in service delivery functions in complex stakeholder and policy environments.About UQAs part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.Everyone here has a role to play.
