Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunityWe’re looking for a Partnerships Lead/Manager to join our Farmlands Partnership Team. This exciting new role reports to the Head of Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships and leads the growth, innovation, and development of the Farmlands Card business.With full oversight of our card business and will incorporate business development, this is a pivot role incorporating portfolio management as well as the introduction of retention and re-engagement strategies and development of a growth strategy to align to our 5-year growth aspirations. The role leads the Partnerships team consisting a mix of senior portfolio managers and partnership specialists.The day to day involves:

• Lead and grow the profitability of the Farmlands Card business, maximising strategic opportunities to meet shareholder and partner expectations.
• Develop and execute annual business and strategic plans, including budgeting and ROI monitoring.
• Oversee contract negotiations and ensure best-practice controls and processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Merchandising, etc.) to optimise promotional activities and customer offers.
• Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team focused on accountability, learning, and succession planning.

A skilled people leader, you’ll have the vision and ability to coach on developing individualised strategies for portfolios.To win, you’ll also need:

• Proven ability to lead teams to exceed targets with strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong data analysis capabilities
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence diverse stakeholders

Desirable:

• Experience in the rural sector
• Tertiary business qualification
