Job description: Our Client is a leading retailer who has established a strong footprint all over Ireland over the last 20 years. They are seeking a part qualified accountant to join their finance division which in located in the heart of Galway city.Job Responsibilities:

• Complete month-end reconciliations for bank, credit card, and supplier accounts.
• Oversee the fixed asset register.
• Prepare month-end journal entries.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to address any inquiries.
• Prepare CSO reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, along with month-end and quarter-end reporting.
• Support audit preparation.
• Submit VAT receipts
• Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as necessary.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Accounting Technician qualification or part-qualified accountant.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience with an accounting role in mandatory.
