- Develop preventive maintenance strategy and instructions and implement in the CMMS.
- Ensure maintenance instructions are accurate, effective and support compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support activities required to facilitate addition of new and modified equipment to the maintenance program.
- Liaison with personnel at production and maintenance areas and agree on maintenance data recording and improvement activities
- Input maintenance data into CMMS System and ensure control over the implementation of planned preventive maintenance
- Contribute to the development and upgrading of CMMS System on all relevant production units
- Recommend modifications of maintenance data base in order to optimize maintenance activity
- Compile and submit for review reports and statistics in order to improve maintenance processes and projects
- Provide support to ensure overall usage of the system and acquire new maintenance skills
- Train maintenance staff on use of CMMS system
- Issue/review work order documents from CMMS
- Follow-up on planning and work order closure
- Prioritize work, and maintain a backlog
- Review PM orders and optimize plant PM systems.
- Assist Maintenance Department Managers in continuous improvement of maintenance processes
- Ensure the CMMS contains the requirements on planned preventive repair and maintenance of equipment components and all the required materials and sources
- Procure necessary spare parts/services and effectively interface with vendors/contractors.
- Coordinate with production and sales staff to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operations and to ensure timely completion.
- Estimate costs of personnel, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.
- Perform all other duties as requested by maintenance manager, plant manager or operations manager
- Maintain record of work performed in accordance with PDM and maintenance and repair system
- Adjust or assist in adjusting machinery as needed to ensure production of a quality product
- Perform or assist in preventive maintenance procedures as scheduled in the PDM system or as directed
- Gain a full understanding of the PDM system
- Conduct frequent walk-through’s of the plant to detect faulty operations and defective equipment and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Advise or assist in ordering parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the plant, work area, and equipment
Requirements
- 3+ years of Maintenance Planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate knowledge of the PDM system
- Intermediate knowledge of the CMMS or other maintenance planning systems
- Associate’s degree in an engineering / technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Proficient use of Microsoft office suite of products
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills including the use of electronic filing systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software including the ability to create spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, etc.
