  • ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
  • Reports to: Operation Sustainability Assurance & Integration Lead
  • Reporting Level: Senior Manager
  • Geographic Scope: United Kingdom (UK)

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Drive CSRD alignment for Social ESRS (S2 Workers in the value chain, S3 Affected communities, S1 Own workforce – H&S aspects) across Operations, including reporting and assurance readiness.
  • Develop prioritized, risk-based and structured approach to addressing improvement needs in the technical policies, supplier engagement and consultations, actions, targets and associated metrics in line with the business requirements and industry benchmarks.
  • Closely work with Leaf and Procurement teams on alignment of BAU and planned Social programs with ESRS requirements as well as deployment of new processes in light of CSRD for agricultural and non-agricultural suppliers;
  • Contribute to Environmental ESRS and other CSRD program workstreams to ensure full alignment and integration where needed due to inherent CSRD data interoperability.
  • Act as subject-matter expert on Social Sustainability, focusing on BAT material topics, CSRD and associated regulatory requirements (e.g. CSDDD) within Operations team.
  • Support Operations Sustainability Assurance and Integration Lead in developing compliance and assurance strategy for qualitative and quantitative disclosures.
  • Perform Social sustainability impact modelling for upcoming regulatory requirements as they become available, incl. SCDDD, and contribute to further alignment.
  • Contribute to Operation Sustainability Reporting, Compliance & Digital teamwork, processes and drumbeats.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEEducation Background

  • Academic Background: MSc/BSc. degree. Engineering, Business or Finance with linkage to Social and/or Environmental Sustainability is a plus.

Experience/Soft Skills

  • Strong experience working in cross-functional activities and projects, ability to coordinate actions and develop a coherent approach that can be leveraged by multiple stakeholders working at above market/global level.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and prioritize effectively
  • Strong planning, process optimization and project management skills.
  • Strong in data analytics and able to perform reporting & analysis
  • Excellent influencing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Resilience, flexibility and confidence to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
  • Fluent English and excellent writing skills
  • Coming from Food, Beverage & Tobacco Sector OR any FMCG (Added advantage)
  • Having sustainability reporting skill (Added advantage)
  • Knowledge in EU regulations (Added advantage)

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of Global Sustainability frameworks, reporting standards and principles (e.g. GRI, GHG reporting protocol, TCFD, TFND etc). Understanding of CSRD and CSDDD is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with exposure to Social and/or Environmental Sustainability. Operations background is preferable.
  • Data Management, system implementation experience preferred.
  • Working level knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
