Job description: Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Prime Hires is seeking a skilled Operations Officer to join our client.Contract Period: 03/31/2025 to 09/30/2025
Pay rate: $23 per hour
Location: Markham, ON
Location type: Hybrid, onsite twice per week
Business Hours: Monday to Friday, Rotational schedule – 2-week rotation – 7am-3pm and 11am-7pm shifts (EST)Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a broad range of operational support and performs general to specialized transactions and/or other processing activities for own Operations and Business Services function.
- May contribute to analysis/reporting on critical projects or special initiatives that strengthen our operating model/processes and elevate service quality.
- Execute transactions accurately, on time and in line with established guidelines/procedures while adhering to formal or informal Service Level Agreement(s) (SLAs).
- Refer or escalate processing or operational issues as needed based on a solid understanding of the issue, connecting with the appropriate function/partner to facilitate resolution and ensure that service quality is maintained.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Support partners with incoming transactions, validating information as needed to perform adjustments within authority levels.
- Interact with partners by responding to requests in an effective and timely manner.
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- Experience as an Operations Officer (or similar role): 3 years
- Advanced Excel: 3 years
- Analysis Experience: 3 years
- Financial Reporting Experience: 3 years
- Banking experience: 1 year
- Salesforce experience: 1 year
- Data entry experience
- MS Office Suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.): 3 years
- Organized and Attention to Detail
- Team Player
- Time Management Skills
