In this role, you’re expected to:
- Support processing and credit underwriting functions on Lending Products Applications (Mortgage, Investment and Premium Financing Loans) and processed within the established processing turnaround time as well as meeting productivity benchmark.
- Perform credit assessment activities (including client profiling assessment, credit risk analysis, credit proposal writes up and credit underwriting for new application / line maintenance / annual review) for consumer clients.
- Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of application and client information.
- Analyze/evaluate credit reports as well as coordinate and follow up on actions plans, implementations, and related defects.
- Review client’s application and loan documents as part of credit underwriting process
- Render support on quality check (eg. day 2 review, quality assurance framework, etc) to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirement, prevailing policy, and procedure.
- Support projects, development of new workflows and procedures to simplify credit underwriting and post-approval process whenever deemed necessary.
- Provide administrative support surrounding application processing and portfolio activities (like conducting annual review on existing account holders)
- Provide training to junior staff / new hire where necessary.
- Support various control tasks where necessary (eg. Support department manager or supervisor in collating samplings for Audit Review)
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 4-8 years prior experience in a financial institution
- Experience in credit operations or similar position
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
