In this role you’ll report directly to the National Field Sales Manager and be responsible for leading our Northern field team, covering the Auckland and upper North Island region. You will play a key role in delivering sales targets, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring flawless in-store execution across multiple product categories.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and coach a team Territory Managers, setting clear goals, conducting regular field visits, and supporting professional development
- Drive Sales Growth: Take ownership of all product lines and seasonal ranges, ensuring sales targets are achieved or exceeded across your assigned territory
- Strategic Execution: Build and implement tailored field strategies by territory and banner, ensuring strong product presence, distribution, and high-impact displays in-store
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse sales performance, scan data, and field reports to identify growth opportunities and translate insights into actionable plans
- Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key stores and work closely with vendors and suppliers
- Problem Solving: Take proactive steps to address challenges, cover vacant territories, and ensure timely delivery and execution
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven sales leadership experience, ideally within the FMCG sector
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing teams to achieve ambitious sales goals
- Strong understanding of retail environments, store-level execution, and merchandising standards
- Analytical ability to turn data into insight and insight into action
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- A customer-first attitude and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Organised, hands-on, and motivated by achieving results
- The confidence and credibility to lead from the front and build trust with key stakeholders
