http://www.esf.edu.hkJOB DESCRIPTIONESF is currently in the process of an exciting digital transformation that will lead the organisation into a new digital era. At the heart of this transformation is a pivotal role in leading payroll. This is not a static payroll position. This next-generation payroll manager will lead payroll into a new digital environment and partner with the HRIS project team to implement the payroll components of a new Tier One HR information system such as Oracle, SAP, Workday (or similar).Key Responsibilities

• Learn, understand and complete the payroll handover from one system to another for GoLive in the coming 12 – 24 months
• Play a key role in leading and monitoring pre-parallel run, parallel-run, UAT testing and reconciliation
• Ensure accurate records for all staff are kept in the system and reconciled with the contracts issued by ESF for payroll processing
• Arrange and process all payroll-related payments/deductions
• Answer queries on salary and contract-related matters, MPF contribution and taxation
• Review salary journals
• Review reports and reconcile contributions for all MPF and ORSO contributions
• Ensure all payments are under the correct budgets, with appropriate approval
• Trains, supervises and assigns subordinates with various payroll duties in order to meet the deadlines
• Work with the Data Integrity Team to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance with payroll matters
• This position reports to the Director of Human Resources (Head of HR)

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Human Resources Management, member of a recognised Accounting / Human Resources body
• More than 8 years of payroll administration experience including team management in a sizable organization
• Familiar with tier-one HRIS vendors such as Oracle, SAP (or similar) operating in on-site and cloud mode
• Experience with digital transformation projects including configuration, system implementation, UAT and parallel runs that successfully reached steady state
• Experience with identifying and implementing system enhancements after reaching a steady state
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint and Google worksheets
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, Hong Kong employment law (and related regulations) and daily average wages (DAW)
• Works well under pressure in a friendly, collegial team-oriented environment!
