The responsibilities include:Organize Technology Transfer workshop, coordinate module & process level break-up session. Coordinate unit module level transfer meeting between POR and receiving Fab.Unit Module Process Transfer & Optimization: Ensuring that proven processes are effectively transferred from receiving Fab from qualification to full-scale production. This involves scaling up processes while maintaining product quality and consistency.Equipment Setup & Calibration: Overseeing the installation, calibration, and validation of unique equipment in receiving Fab. To ensure that the equipment operates according to specifications and meets process requirements.Documentation & Standardization: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including process recipes, work instructions, CAS and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the receiving fab to follow.Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the transfer of technology, such as process matching, process deviations or quality control problems, to minimize downtime.Training & Support: Providing training and ongoing support to receiving fab on new processes, technologies, and equipment. You may also assist with troubleshooting and refining techniques during the early stages of production.Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with POR & receiving fab process engineers, process integration engineers, and quality control teams to ensure the successful transfer of technology and troubleshooting of any issues that arise during production.Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements or optimization once the technology has been transferred to production. They often participate in initiatives to improve yield, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).Risk Management: Ensuring that the transfer of technology does not introduce new risks or issues into the manufacturing process. This involves rigorous risk assessment and mitigation strategies.Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the unit module process meets the required quality standards and specifications, and collaborating with quality teams to address any issues, process changes that affect product performance or compliance.In essence, a Tech Transfer unit module engineer bridges the gap between POR fab and receiving Fab, ensuring smooth transitions, minimal disruptions, and continuous optimization.We are looking for a seasoned professional who is passionate about technology and has a proven track record in technology transfer in semiconductor fabrication. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business trajectory in Greater China, we invite you to join our team.Your Job:Tech Transfer workshop coordination of respective unit process break-upTransfer process & metrology recipes from POR fabCoordinate of module level tech transfer meetingConduct recipe matching activities (CRRC)Resolve unit module process mis-matching issueRecipe control, release and change managementTo work closely with receiving fab to resolve challenges surfaced up during process installation, qualification and product yield and rampDiligently follow technology transfer methodologyTo coordinate pre-ramp workshops for process frozen and risk production phaseTo coordinate unique tool training for process engineers from receiving fab at POR fabBuild and maintain strong relationship with receiving fab in meeting the project goalsCustomer First: To manage and deliver customers’ needs and expectations by working closely with partner fab, POR fab and customersCustomer audit: Work closely with the quality department of both POR and receiving fab to deliver successful audit for product pre-launchRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in the semiconductor industry (5 to 8 years wafer process engineering) or related fieldProven track record of successfully managing complex partnerships and driving business growth.Product management and domain knowledge of automotive, IoT and consumer electronic systemsUnderstanding of advanced CMOS, power application, embedded NVM processes featuresStrong understanding of the semiconductor market dynamics in Greater China. Experience in managing automotive quality issues and supply chainExcellent negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsProvide consistent and clear communication between all project stakeholders and report on progress to the senior leadership team.Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with international and diverse teams and with multiple levels of management.GlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
