National Law FirmThe RoleOur client, a national law firm based in the Brisbane CBD is currently seeking a Mortgage Recovery Paralegal. You will support a Partner and the team. Duties include –

• Drafting Notices, demands, pleadings and general correspondence
• Drafting statements of claim, judgments, writs of possession
• E-filing of court documents
• Telephone calls and general correspondence with clients, debtors and third parties to progress the files (involves taking instructions, negotiating proposals with debtors)
• Regular follow ups of security packets, process servers, court documents etc.
• Preparing discharge of mortgages and arranging settlement, as required
• Preparing files for eviction
• Identifying complex, sensitive and high risk matters and escalating them to a Lawyer
• General administration duties
