Together, we are powering the growth and success of our community progress every day!Pay Grade17Deadline to Apply: March 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CSTPosition SummaryProvides leadership and oversight in the annual development of the Labor, Operating & Maintenance, & Capital Budgets. Ensures the accurate and timely analytics of actual vs. planned performance to include key drivers for variances. Serves as a key liaison between Financial Services and the various Business Units and the financial point of contact & trusted financial advisor to the Executive Leadership. Responsible for the monthly preparation of the latest estimate process related to O&M and CapEx portfolios.Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Financial Point of Contact & trusted Financial Advisor to Executive & Senior Leadership.
  • Financial Liaison between Business Units and Financial Services.
  • Manages the annual development of 5-Yr Labor, O&M & Capital Budgets.
  • Reviews & challenges submissions to ensure they are adequate and in alignment with strategic direction and operational requirements.
  • Leads & coordinates the monthly reforecasts (Latest Estimate Process) of the O&M and CapEx portfolios to include the analytics for actual vs. planned performances to include key drivers.
  • Evaluates staffing requests and ensures they are within approved authorized staffing capacity and within budgeted resources before the recruiting process commences.
  • Examines and assesses the Latest Estimate submissions to include the development of mitigation plans to offset unfavorable projections.
  • Identifies and makes recommendations for potential reductions and/or mitigation plans.
  • Leads, develops and administers various training related to financial operations and reporting.
  • Ensures integration of risk planning & mitigation, business planning and the budgeting processes for Operations Business Units.
  • Advises Business Units in Business Case developments.
  • Responsible for defining, promoting and advocating new processes and technology designed to improve efficiencies within the planning and reporting process, enhance analytics and business metrics, and increase internal customer satisfaction with more timely, actionable information.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a team composed of financial analysts, providing timely, honest performance feedback.
  • Provides leadership on employee engagement initiatives within Financial Services, promoting a culture of focus on People First.
  • Performs other duties and serves on special project team as assigned

Minimum SkillsMinimum Knowledge and AbilitiesExp in the areas of acctng, fin, financial plan & analysis, budg, or other similar or quantitative field w/ knowledge of budget & mgmnt prin, genl accepted acctng prin, & the ability to analyze, interpret & consol fin data into concise, meaningful formats.Leadership exp through formal supervisory experience or informally through directing the work of a junior colleague or through significant peer leadership experience.Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, multi-tasking, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal, written & communicational skills.Foundational understanding of financial principles, financial statements and other applicable business operations.Assertive self-starter, with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with a high degree of accuracy and ability to handle and/or manage sensitive and confidential information.Evidence of strong planning and organization skills, essential for managing multiple tasks and large-scale projects of the section while ensuring timely and accurate completion.Demonstrated ability to interact well with others (peers, co-workers, all levels of the organization and outside entities).Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment, either as a team leader or team member.Possess strong personal computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)Preferred Qualifications
