THE COMPANYOur client is one of Queensland’s most reputable mid-tier accounting firms with a strong track record in conducting financial due diligence for both public and private companies, they offer a dynamic environment for experienced professionals.THE OPPORTUNITYIn this role, you will work closely with the firm’s M&A Division at a top mid-tier accounting firm. You will evaluate business performance, identify risks and provide actionable recommendations that shape strategic decision-making on significant transactions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform financial due diligence on acquisition targets
• Analyse historical and projected financial performance
• Identify key operational and financial risks
• Provide actionable insights through detailed reports and presentations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Assist clients with IPO preparations and financial assessments

EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
• Must have a minimum 2 years’ M&A experience in corporate finance, complemented by audit experience at a Big 4 firm
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in corporate finance
• Mid–tier of big 4 audit experience
