Job description: Job Title: Mechanical Engineer/Technologist HelperJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer/Technologist helper to support the Site QA, Turnaround Manager, and TA Mechanical Engineer. This role involves assisting with general plant mechanical tasks in preparation for the 2026 Turnaround and during the event itself. This is a one-year position that offers a valuable opportunity to work on a significant project.Responsibilities

• Assist with site QA processes and procedures.
• Support the Turnaround Manager and Mechanical Engineer in preparing and executing the 2026 Turnaround.
• Perform inspections using appropriate equipment and ensure quality control and assurance.
• Participate in the drafting and design processes, including P&ID and mechanical design.
• Contribute to the development and review of inspection test plans.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of fabrication and engineering vendors.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Technologist.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a technology program.
• On-site plant experience in a mechanical engineering or technologist capacity.
• Experience with pressure vessel sizing, specifications, and material understanding.
• Quality Assurance experience, including witnessing procedures.
• Experience developing inspection test plans.
• Experience in design review of plant equipment and materials.
• Experience coordinating and overseeing fabrication and engineering vendors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of a P.Eng license.
• Experience with Turnarounds.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based at the Carseland site and requires on-site presence. While primarily an on-site role, there may be occasional opportunities for remote work, subject to agreement.
