Job description: Are you a pro-active Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a company where you will work in a small team to deliver real results?Do you have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the drive to learn quickly?We are seeking a motivated Graduate or Early Career Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Design Team and be responsible for:
- Designing of transformers to meet customer specific requirements ensuring quality and mechanical integrity within Australian and New Zealand standards
- 3D Modelling of required transformers using SolidWorks working closely with the Electrical Team.
- Working with ETEL Production, Engineering, Quality Teams as well as external suppliers to help improve the product and processes.
- Building and maintaining the mechanical design and engineering tools, systems and processes whilst creating robust calculation spreadsheets and SolidWorks templates.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor of Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- 1+ years working experience.
- Excellent grasp of Engineering First Principles
- Proven ability to solve complex problems.
- 3D Modelling experience in SolidWorks or similar
- Practical background in understanding various manufacturing techniques.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Great communication & people skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- A positive and team-focused attitude.
- Willingness to get your hands dirty.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, process driven and quality focused.
- Knowledge of the transformer industry (advantageous).
