Job description: We are supporting our client in their recruitment drive for a Materials/Inventory Planner on a permanent staff basis.The Planner will be responsible for the Planning, Inventory and Logistics management of subcontracting partners.Main duties and responsibilities

• Executing the tolling plan by converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders.
• Raising and issuing POs for third party stocked materials. Recording vendor confirmations.
• Working with sister plants to ship raw materials, intermediates and finished products, required for toller or warehouse sourcing plan as outlined by planning long term supply plan.
• Ensuring all materials have goods receipt to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Being aware of production constraints at the toller. Organising regular meetings with the third party toller Planning Team and customer service to communicate the weekly and monthly production plans.
• Working with suppliers to meet the production and delivery requirements to optimise service, inventory and cost.
• Scheduling tanks and IBC carriers as required.
• Arranging freight against existing logistics contracts and create all necessary shipping documentation.
• Monitoring site inventory, including conducting regular cycle counts in line with corporate policy.
• Managing Excess and Obsolete Inventory to minimise disposal costs. Ensuring stock levels are held according to planning guidance.

Applicants to this role requireMinimum Qualifications:

• Supply Chain experience or bachelor’s degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to use own initiative, be reliable and demonstrate commitment

Desired Qualifications:

• ERP (SAP) experience preferred.
• APICS / CIPS certification beneficial but not essential.
