Job description: We’re seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator- Straight Nights to join our client’s team in London, ON. You’ll work in a foundry environment for one of the oldest family-owned business in the city, with opportunities to grow and learn. Positions start immediately.What We Offer:

• $23.49/hr. to start
• Temp to hire position.
• Straight nights
• Steady hours & weekly pay cheque.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure raw material is supplied timely as required to appropriate melting furnaces.
• Provide assistance in relocating materials and work in process between workstations as required.
• Provide assistance during the heat-treating process as required.
• Ensure products are packed and shipped in accordance with requirements as outlined on the Packaging and Shipping Instructions.
• Ensure shipping documents are prepared correctly and directed to the appropriate area for storage and retention.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conforming product to process and quality management system.
• Identify and report any problems relating to the product, process, and quality management system.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Assemble containers, crates and boxes, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Load and unload goods from trucks or other conveyances.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
• Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Other duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years of material handling experience preferably in a hot environment as this position can get very hot.
• Forklift experience- minimum 2 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clean criminal background check.
• Must enjoy physical labor.
