Job description: Position Title: Technical Lead – Master Data Management (MDM) SolutionsJob Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our Master Data Management (MDM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing MDM solutions that ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of master data across the organisation. This role requires a deep understanding of MDM principles, data integration, data governance, as well as strong leadership and project management skills.Key Responsibilities:
- MDM Solution Design: Lead the design of MDM solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with industry best practices. Work with the Data Architecture team to design, implement, and govern MDM frameworks and patterns.
- Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from various sources into the MDM platform, ensuring data consistency and quality.
- Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models for master data, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
- Data Quality Management: Implement and manage data quality rules within MDM, aligning with the Data Quality Framework to monitor, measure, and improve data quality in the context of MDM.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior MDM developers, providing guidance and support for their development in the platform.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand business stakeholders’ data needs and ensure MDM solutions meet those requirements.
- Change Management: Support the development and execution of change management plans to ensure smooth adoption of MDM practices across the organisation.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure MDM practices comply with relevant data protection regulations and security standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of MDM initiatives and report on progress to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role focused on MDM.
- Data Modelling: Strong skills in developing and maintaining data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
- Data Quality Management: Experience with data quality frameworks and tools to monitor and improve data quality.
- Database Management: Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
- Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting for automation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MDM tools and technologies (e.g., Profisee, Informatica, Infosphere, Stibo) along with data integration, data modelling, and data quality management.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
