Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi offers award-winning 5-star luxury hospitality and authentic local experiences with 390 luxurious rooms and suites along with award-winning culinary cuisines.About the jobBased at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Marina Department, the Marina & Water Sports Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Water Sports Centre Activities and income management. Ensures the safety of all Water Sports Activities executed. The Marina & Water sports Supervisor is responsible for the administration of the marina & water sports centre, carrying out admin tasks such as fuel reporting and any guest services as required, supporting the marina office team. The Marina & Water Sports Supervisor must conform to all the marina’s policies and procedures and ensure that all staff do the same. Consistency of approach is essential. The Marina & Water Sports Supervisor reports to the Marina Operations Manager/ Director of Marina.As Marina & Water Sports Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Reports directly to and communicates with the Marina Operations Manager/Director of Marina on all pertinent matters affecting the overall Water Sports operation.
• On a daily basis takes responsibility for the safe operation of the water sports operation and all water sports activities in accordance with the Normal Operating Procedure (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
• Provides supervision and assistance for all water sports users including full safety inductions for 1st time users.
• Is responsible for ensuring that all Water Sports activities are executed according to the Security Rules.
• To ensure that the maintenance of the marina and water sports centre is performed according to the instructions of the Director of Marina & Marina Operations Manager.
• To ensure that appropriate lines of communication are maintained with the Director of Marina & Marina Operations Manager to provide consistent and seamless management of the marina & water sports centre.
• Provide the required standard of customer service to all customers, guests and tenants, to ensure their needs are met.
• Support department management provide information, and advice consistent with the strategic goals of the business.
• Undertake training of team as required, assisting the department trainer.
• Provide accurate billing information to the Director of Marina & Marina Operations Manager.
• Implement the EMS and environmental objectives and targets.
• Must be confident, energetic, flexible, safety always minded and enthusiastic. Be able to smile and interact with people from all over the world.
• Under the guidance of the Marina Operations Manager helps, produces, operates and constantly updates the current departmental SOP’s in so far as they affect the work of the Water Sports operation.
• Be fully conversant with the departmental NOP/EAP and ensure constant compliance with its wording.
• Reports all injuries, accidents/incidents and maintenance issues to the Marina Operations Manager immediately.
• Be on standby to provide the Marina & Water sports teams with coordination and support in the event of a serious emergency.
• Investigate and research opportunities to enhance the service provision at the Water Sports Centre & the Marina.
• Collaborate to develop and enhance the water sports centre & the marina growth strategy.
