The work program focuses on rebuilding and securing weapon systems, reestablishing deterrence by increasing lethality and survivability, and strengthening Coalition capabilities for our Partners. A key objective is enabling our DAF systems for the Air Superiority 2030 Flight Plan and ensure the DoD has a mix of capabilities to penetrate the highly contested environment as well as deliver effects from stand-off ranges.OCE DAF sponsors span a collection of Air Force PEOs including the Fighter and Advanced Aircraft, ISR & SOF, Mobility, Weapons, Cyber and Networks, Business Enterprise Systems PEOs, the Joint Program Office for F35, Air Force Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapons Systems (CROWS), enabling Air Force Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) and various Coalitions / FMS Sponsors. The division strives to deliver world class technical expertise and capabilities in support of a set of the most challenging national security objectives. Technology areas include, but are not limited to: Cyber Security and resiliency, Command and Control, Communications Systems, Logistics, Platform Integration, Sensors, Modeling Based System Engineering and Analytics.Job Description:The Managing Director is responsible for strategically shaping the work program, setting the technical direction of the A&SFC’s ARBM Division’s capabilities, growing a diverse team of world-class talent, fostering a culture of connection and belonging, and building collaborative relationships across MITRE’s enterprise, with Senior DAF Leaders, industry, and academia.This is a key position in the development and execution portion of the broader A&SFC strategy that is aligned to the MITRE National Security (MNS) sector strategy all in support of The MITRE Corporation’s strategy. Success in this position will require strategic thinking, creative work shaping and close coordination across the MNS and MITRE Labs to maximize impact.The Managing Director is accountable to the Vice President, A&SF Center, for all aspects of the sponsor facing and internal division operations. The Managing Director will also work with the MNS Cross Cutting Priority Leads to ensure alignment of the IADE’s work program where appropriate with efforts across the company in these areas to increase impact.Roles & Responsibilities:
