To help guide the collaborative effort, we are in search of a Managing Consultant, Strategic Advisor y to join our team.SummaryResponsible for key deliverable development on strategic advisory engagements and initiatives. Takes point on gap assessments, financial analysis, and designing future state solutions. Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for delivery and execution partners and responsible for coordination of key delivery ceremonies.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssess and analyze core business processes across various business segmentsMake strategic recommendations to drive enhanced output and results for business processesAnalyze and quantify financial impact of engagements and process improvementsBuild and deliver presentations for key findings and recommendations to partner organizationsPartner with data resources to quantitatively assess and analyze how core business activities tie into strategic direction and how they provide a competitive advantage for Northwestern MutualRun delivery ceremonies (e.g. stand-ups, design sessions, client workshops, readouts)Identify and escalate blockers and risks to engagements to appropriate partiesSummarize engagement deliverables for socialization as neededDesign and conduct stakeholder interviews to quickly acclimate to new organizations, and identify areas of opportunityIdentify best practices across Northwestern Mutual and industry standardsBuild relationship with decision makers in partnership organizationsPartner with project management to ensure deliverable timelines are being metParticipate in internal team activities to help share knowledge, research, and best practicesParticipate in stand-ups and project management cadences to help drive initiatives forwardSkills & Qualifications5-10 years in client-facing consulting roles or equivalent experience leading projects and initiatives in the Insurance industry3-5 years of experience delivering strategy and or management consultingProficient in data analysis and ROI modellingVery experienced in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, proficient in quickly creating board-level presentations.Experience delivering key process improvement concepts (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)Ability to quickly learn new concepts or business strategiesAbility to research and understand nuances of insurance segmentsComfortable with Executive-level storytelling and presentationsStrong organizational skills; able to handle competing demands, and work under tight deadlines and short timeframes.Demonstrated organizational agility to work across organizational boundaries, influence, and collaborate with all levels on solutions that benefit the organization.Proven skills in dealing with ambiguity and paradox, and leading change.Facilitation and team building skills; ability to play an active, operational and communicative role.Compensation Range:Pay Range – Start: $102,060.00Pay Range – End: $189,540.00Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
