At dnata, we are by your side for the entire travel experience.As Manager Workforce Strategy, Planning & Systems you will be responsible for developing and leading the Workforce Strategy, Planning and Systems function to enable delivery of the divisional strategy and associated performance targets. You will be accountable for the development of the divisional manpower strategy, including identification and implementation of technology and product solutions which contribute to optimisation, innovation, and automation.In this role, you will:
- Develop the medium- and long-term divisional strategy related to manpower planning, GSE, optimisation, and systems.
- Lead delivery of workforce planning, optimisation and outsource management within the division through implementation of frameworks, standards, and methodologies for operational areas.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish performance metrics related to workforce planning and drive adherence to financial control targets in the deployment of resources within the division. Support executive decision making and strategy development through the provision of predictive workforce planning insights.
- Accountable for the design and implementation of manpower utilisation models within the division using available levers. Establish and monitor a performance management framework for the business.
- Lead the department through establishment of an appropriate organisational structure, assignment of tasks and resources to meet service standards, monitoring performance and development, and maintaining succession plans for key roles.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- A Degree or Honours and 10+ years of experience in leading workforce planning in a large manpower-driven organisation, including 5+ years in a managerial role.
- Applied knowledge of advanced manpower planning principles.
- Current knowledge of the technological landscape relevant to workforce planning and optimisation.
- Experience working with workforce management and allocation software (E.g. INFORM)
- A strong professional network.
- Advanced planning and analytical capability.
- Advanced computer literacy skills, including strong visualisation capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with powerful ability to persuade and influence people, internally and externally, at all levels.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
- Experience in ground handling, airline or other aviation business preferred.
- Experience implementing workforce management technology solutions
- Experience with target operating model design and implementation
- Experience in ground handling or similar aviation support services
